tooth risen in front of a tooth that has just been removed is this normal?

I've had one of my back teeth removed about 4 days ago, its still in the healing progress.
I was looking at my teeth earlier on and noticed that the tooth in front of the one that has been removed has risen slightly and not in line with the rest.
The rest are fine.
Was just wondering is this normal or should I consult my dentist?
reply by Shelly ~ adminHi Amy,
It's not unusual for teeth to shift and move out of position. It is possible that the removed tooth was holding the adjacent tooth in position.
Now it is free to drift out of position.
If a tooth drifts too much, it may not function as it should and your teeth won't fit together properly.
If your bite feels different, it may be because of this stray tooth.
Your dentist can help you decide if the tooth has moved too much and if any treatment is needed.
