The Sonicare electric toothbrush made by Philips makes your teeth feel cleaner and your dental cleanings easier.

Is Sonicare the best electric toothbrush?

Here is my Phillips Sonicare toothbrush review:

How does it work?

Sonicare electric toothbrush moves at approximately 31,000 brush strokes per minute.

The motion creates fluid dynamics that have been proven to gently remove plaque from under your gumline and deep between your teeth.

How can a brush moving that fast be safe? The bristles and head are designed to provide a very gentle cleaning that wont damage your teeth or gums.

Sonicare flex-care has:

  • Small head for cleaning hard to reach places in your mouth.
  • UV sanitizer so you can clean your brush head between uses.
  • Quad pacer - a 30 second interval timer so you spend equal time on all 4 quadrants of your mouth.
  • Two minute timer that tells you when to quit.
  • Rechargeable battery that lasts 3 weeks.

More about Sonicare Flexcare...

Sonicare's rechargeable brushes all come with a Sonicare charger and have the patented Sonicare technology. They vary in price depending on extra features.

Retail prices for the rechargeable models range from $69.99 to $200,00. Electric toothbrush heads are 2 for $29.99 and should be replaced every 3-6 months.

Alot of money for a toothbrush. But... it could save you alot more on future dental fees not to mention your time in a dental chair.

Sonicare also makes an electric toothbrush that uses two AA batteries for $29.99. These do not have the patented Sonicare technology and don't remove plaque as well as the rechargeable models. I would go with a rechargeable model.

Sonicare for kids?

sonicare electric toothbrushes Yes. There is a model made just for kids. I like the idea especially for older kids with orthodontic braces on their teeth.

At this stage in life, kids need a lot of help and motivation.

If an electric toothbrush inspires them to brush longer and more thoroughly, I'm for it!

Younger children still need some help. Electric toothbrushes can be messy:)

My opinion:

I use a Sonicare flexCare and love how it cleans my teeth. Many of my clients use flexCare with great results.

Braun Oral B vs Sonicare is a question for many. Here's why I switched from Braun to Sonicare.
