What type of dentist is best?Since there are several types of dental specialties many are unsure about what type of dentist is best.In most cases a general or family dentist can provide all the care you need or assist you in finding the appropriate specialists. Parents may choose to have their children see a pediatric dentist or a family dentist. Either choice is fine unless there is a specific need that would make seeing a children's dentist a better option. For example: children with special needs, excessive dental issues, or severe dental phobia.
