can a partial denture be modified

I have a partial denture and need a tooth added. Can this be done without replacing the partial?

Hi Tim, Sometimes a tooth can be added depending on the situation. It can be done if there is enough room and the partial can still be anchored to existing teeth to provide enough support.

You would have to be without your partial for at least a day while a dental lab technician adds the tooth.

You would drop your partial off first thing in the morning and hopefully be able to pick it up late the same day.

Have your dentist advise you on this as every case is different. But, it is a possibility and worth looking into.

Hopefully this option will work and you can save some money:)

Good Luck
