Best Teeth Whitening Strips From a Drugstore

Can teeth whitening strips do this?
Shelly,
Are there any worthwhile brands you can buy from a drugstore?
If so, I'd love to hear about it!
Hi Susanna, That's a great questions and one I hear often:
"Do teeth whitening strips really work?"The answer is yes....for some people. Whitening strips, whitening trays made by a dentist, and professional one hour whitening treatments all work in the same way.
The difference is the whitening gel used in strips is a lower concentration so it takes many more applications to get results. Strips make such a gradually change, it may not be noticeable for some.
I know a lot of people who get really good results from using whitening strips. I also hear from some who say they tried them and they don't work. My guess is, it depends on how dark their teeth are to begin with and how long they keep using them. It is easy to get discouraged and quit using them if the result is not dramatic in a short time.
A recent study showed that by using a low concentrate whitening gel (6%) over a long time period resulted in dramatically whiter teeth.
Using any of the three teeth whitening methods eventually results in a lighter version of your original color. If your teeth have a grayish tint to them, you will end up with a lighter grayish tint...it does look better but may not be exactly like the super white teeth in the picture.
The drugstore brands usually don't list the concentration so it is difficult to compare but the ones that promise results in 3 days are most likely the strongest.
Here is a article on
the best teeth whitening strips.
Teeth whitening is so subjective. How happy a peron is with their whitening results depends a lot on their expectations.
Hope that helps,
