ACT mouthwash is one of many great rinses. This product is the most well known over-the-counter fluoride rinse. It comes in many varieties including the latest addition: Sponge Bob's favorite, ocean-berry flavor. Need help sorting through all the mouthwash choices? Here's my mouthwash review:
Fluoride rinse has many benefits and is not just for kids. You can say "no-thanks" to ocean-berry but don't skip the fluoride.
Fluoride mouthwash: Here are some over-the-counter choices for adults.
Crest Pro Health Rinse has stannous fluoride which is good for both fighting cavitiies and improving gingivitis. If you have gum disease and need extra cavity protection, Crest Pro Health Rinse is a good all purpose choice.
If your biggest problem is gum disease and you have no cavity concerns, Listerine mouthwash is the best choice for gingivitis and more severe gum disease. Biotene mouthwash will improve severe dry mouth symptoms. For the kids:
ACT has twice as much fluoride, only has to be used once a day, and would be my choice for kids 6 yrs and older to use only with adult supervision.
Remember...Fluoride rinse is good for your teeth...but not to eat! It comes in 4 flavors: bubble gum, mint, cinnamon, and of course, ocean-berry.
